Quietside Campground offers 37 wooded sites, featuring 7 Camping Cabins,      (6 are log cabins) with electricity, 2 Rustic Non Electric Cabins, a Two Story Camping Cabin, and 3 Hobbit Huts, Modest Water/Electric Sites, Tent Sites (all with tent platforms), and two Heated, Full-Service Bathhouses with toilets, sinks. laundry sinks and showers.  All sites and cabins have picnic tables and fire pits. 

 

Reservations will be accepted as of February 1 2024, - Book EARLY, our sites fill quickly. Please call 207-244-0566 to book. We do not book online.

 

Our 2024 season runs from June 14th through Columbus Day. While the campground is fully staffed & busy all summer, our regulars know the secret to fall. Enjoy the quiet side of Mt. Desert Island during the "quiet-time" at our campground.

 

Quietside Campground's unusual campground sites are meant for people to enjoy the experience of camping in its simplest form — yet comfortably and  with some conveniences. Visiting campers are immersed in the wild, coastal Maine natural surroundings from natural indigenous foliage to native birds    and wildlife. Your vacation with us is truly a breath of fresh Maine air! 

 

We encourage a nature based, "green" atmosphere at Quietside. Enjoy the stars while sitting by the fire without bright lights. Listen to and observe the many birds around the campground. We have a full complement of outdoor books and information in the campground office. There are many programs in the area to encourage children as well as adults to head outside.

Quietside Campground's host Susan, has office hours daily in season, and can assist you with any problems you might encounter. All services and cleaning of cabins,  bathhouses etc. are conducted by your host and limited staff, daily.

We do allow dogs that stay with their owner, are quiet and are cleaned up after.
